He was getting sub 3/4 MOA groups. What was freaky is his Burris 3x9 that I had mounted for him was set on 3 power! Then I showed him that it can go up to 9 power!"
You kind of brought up a memory. I had noticed that on every hunt I did in at least the last ten plus years, I've used 9 power to sight in or for load testing but on the hunt the rifle was always set ton 3 power. Not once have I ever changed the power setting once the hunt started. Now I'm trying to figure out just how long have I been doing that? Guess I I'll just have to lose a night's sleep while I cogitate on the matter.
