Hey guys
I just purchased the T3 stainless varmint in 300 wsm. I've owned
a Sako 75 stainless for about 5 years now. The fit and finish is
second to none and it shoots like a bat out of hell. So since the
T3 is from the same factory. I figured the quality control will be
at least the same as my Sako. In short, that's what convinced me
in buying the Tikka. Sure the stock could probably be better but
atleast it won't warp and is plenty strong. But I basically bought
the rifle for it's barrel and action. Anyways. I buy the cheapest
bullets and go to the range to break in the barrel. The bullets
were the Winchester super X power point in 150 grains. After
breaking in the barrel in the usual manner I desided to take a
5 shot group with these less than par bullets to say the least.
Well compared to handloads. The first group was .5" for 5 shots.
Second 5 shot group was a touch under .5 inches. To make
a long story short. I can't wait to go back with my handloaded
150 grain Accubonds. YEEEHAAAAAAH!!!
