After spending 3 hours at a friends garage machining the lug area to accommodate the thicker Tubbs. The 308 got a new look. A trip to the range will be in order as soon as the water recede. I hope she won't skip a beat.

What do you think guys.

Yeah, that looks tacti-cool; it certainly looks impressive. Just from the pictures, it looks accurate. Now, if reality lives up to image.

Hopefully, you haven't been immediately adversely inconvenienced by the water, at least not long term.

That is a very nice setup DF! I would love to have the Accuracy International stocks on my 243AI and .308 or anything for that matter!

DF, spent some time behind the AI rifle. Quite a piece of gear. I think you're going to like that "stock" - particularly from prone. I wasn't real wild about it from sitting, kneeling or standing, but from prone - wow - it was excellent!

Your rifle looks great. Enjoy. Nice Christmas present...

Nicely done! Can't wait to hear how she shoots.
That Tubb recoil lug is massive, I have one in my 280 AI.

Very awesome rifle DF~ Looks like a truely awesome shooter. AI makes some very impressive equipment and their bedding systems are 2nd to NONE. Scotty

Thanks guys.

The rifle is going to be shoot prone only, mostly on competition. I always wanted an AI for this rifle. Big improvement than the HS I had on it before. Also, the rifle balance perfectly well now. We'll see how she shoot.

Finally made it to the range today to see what the 308 will do with the new stock. Fired a couple of rounds just to get a feel and to my relief, the rifle still shoot the same. A friend is borrowing it for our next 1K competition at the end of the month.

Here's a 5 shot group shot at 110 yards using my standard 155 grain Lapua Scenar load.

Our range however was pretty tore up from the last rain. You need an off road vehicle just to access it.

Man, the rains have really messed things up for you! However, it didn't hurt your shooting. That load looks excellent.

That rig looks like it means business, and it shoots like it too! You have a winning combination for sure.

Thanks gentlemen. I hope I'll be competitive with this combination now.

Great group!!!!! Great pictures and your range looks like some of our hillsides and river beds around here. Thanks for sharing!!
