Just wanted to thank JD338 and many other for sharing their reloading information. I have added a couple new rifles recently.

For reloading data, I start with the Nosler reloading data, but also look through Nosler forum for peoples recommendations and pet loads.

I just got back from the range tonight with my latest two new rifles. What fun I had.

I started with loads that JD338 had posted in various thread. They both turned out to be great starting points.

Thanks

Good stuff. Post the results of your day at the range when you get a chance. One of the things I enjoy about this forum is the helpful, friendly attitude exhibited by almost everyone. There's not much competition, but a genuine sense of joy in helping others.

orchemo,

We are always happy to help. There are a lot of great fellas here with a heck of a lot of knowledge willing to share.
Glad you have loads worked out buddy.

JD338

Orchemo,

Yes, please post your results. I will enjoy looking at them and throw up some pics as well.

This site is the BEST IMO, very helpful to me many many times with the wealth of knowledge and willingness to share. It has been instrumental in load development for me as well.

The people on this site are also like Mother Hen in the regard of safety, always watching and throwing out words of caution as we all need time to time during load development.

Thanks to everyone that has helped me in the past too.

Don

Ther are many a good folks here, which makes for difficulty to single out one or a few. But JD is one of the best in any crowd in my opinion. I have enjoyed his work and input here, as well as our personal discussion's by phone. Then again, I think a great many would fall into this level !

Dave,
The main Characters for me were Fotis, Dr. Mike, JD338 and some others too. Lots of input, even some load recipes!

No pics of targets, but pics of the rifles. I have something lately for matching rifles. Little brother, big brother concept.

1. Remington 673 in 6.5 RM pictured, big brother is a 350 RM

2. Remington 700 XCR-II in 280 Rem pictured, big brother is a 35 Whelen - will end up with a different color scope, probably a Leupold 3.5-10 x 40 or just Kylon this one. My Whelen has a B&C Alaskan stock, but this rifle is shooting well with the factory stock.

3. Sako Finnlight in 7mm08 pictured, big brother is a 30-06. Will end up with a Leupold 2.5-8x36 scope before hunting season.

I have another Finnlight in 270 WSM that I will be comparing to my Tikka T3 270WSM. My Tikka is a laser with 130 gr AB.

Think I have the 6.5 and 7mm range rifles well covered.

Those are handsome rifles. I didn't like the 673 at first. However, my 350 RM has grown on me as I've used it and watched its performance.

the Finnlights are very comfortable rifles. The ergonomics of the stock fit me well.

The 673 have a shallow pistol grip angle different than most other rifles, but I like the swell in the grip.

Cheers

Orchemo,

Those are some nice irons you have there. I always thought the 350 Rem Mag was a cool round.
I agree with your thoughts on the M673. It is a joy to carry and handle.

JD338

The 673 in 6.5 is pretty cool, really like the stock. I agree, in a 350 Rem Mag would be awesome.

Orchemo,
You've made good choices in your rifles and scopes. You do indeed have 6.5 to 7mm covered handily. Thanks for sharing the pictures and the thoughts.
Greg

That is a cool bunch of rifles! Man, you do have it covered, that is for sure.

You can't beat the guys around here. Just a great bunch of people. I can't imagine where I would be without them.. Probably in AK hunting brown bear with the money I saved from the rifle addiction I imagine? HA!

Nah, you'd own a furniture store in NC and go hunting for two days once a year because you'd be so busy. Man, we've saved you from yourself! Now you can be what you were intended to be! Show a little gratitude.

Hi Guys my thoughts exactly what a great bunch of people. I have belonged to a few other forums and there is always something going on  but here if someone starts to act up it is looked after very quickly.
Scotty you know how much we have tried to help regarding your fear of purchasing rifles  I think now that you have the habit under control a new rifle or 2 every month to 6 weeks is okay with this group of people we are very toerant
Back to the subject those 2 rifle are real good looking and I look forward to more posts and photos.

Blessings,
Dan
