I got out today after all the rain threw the week and had to wait 1/2hr this mourning for a shower to pass threw but managed to chronograph 4 loads. It started out at 70* and was 83* when I left at 11:30hrs.FOTIS":2ica7td1 said:

Fotis. Find me a Sako 338 with a mannlicher stock. There are a couple on Gunbroker. The sellers want more than I value them. A hunting rifle is fine (not a collectors rifle but a shooter)
Thought one of these with a shorter barrel and 250 RN bullets would be a great brush rifle and look "cool". But seems every 338 WM I purchase I end up selling be abuse of the Whelens and the 300 WSMs.
