I think most all know the .222 held bench rest records for decades before the 6PPC. In my heart, it still is the king! 
It was the first out of the box most accurate rifle I had ever owned. It's hard to find a load that won't shoot decently with it.

And isn't it amazing how much the .222 case resembles a scaled down 30-06!!
