I topped her with a Leupy 1.5-5x20mm vari x3. I got some Barnes TSX 350 gr. Now at normal seating length (inapplicable to the #1's), Quickload says with 748, h4895 and some others 2800 fps is EASILY doable. at 62K psi.

30-06 trajectory, from a browning blr length gun , with 5000 ft/lbs of oomph! Little heavy though!

Elk....watch out!

After 378 418 and 460 bees the lott is a puddy cat!

Ouch!! ,that gives me a headache just reading about it.The worst kicking rifle I ever owned was a .458 win.You are a glutton for punishment man.
Something about the 1:14 rate of twist and a 500 grain bullet will ring your bell!

Pop,

Thats great. Looking forward to the range report.
Should make for a dandy speed goat rifle.

The laminate really sets off the rifle. It looks sweet. Indeed, it should speak with real authority to any elk you might encounter.

I got 2720 out of mine. It's a terminator  Shot it last weekend. Even the targets flinched
