The turkey gods must hate me!

I was all set to take four days of vacation and go turkey hunting. In return, I think the turkey gods must have cursed me :twisted: This morning I set the alarm clock extra early so I could be out at first light. When I got up, I quickly realized that I had far greater concerns to tend to. I ended up going into urgent care to figure out what was wrong. I ended up being diagnosed with Influenza, pneumonia and also Lyme's disease. :shock: :evil: :twisted: :x

Sorry to hear your luck has turned south. The day before my first season, I was told I had bronchitis. I tried to hunt but there is not turkey worth it. Rest up and get better. The birds will be there when you get better.

Lyme is nothing to play with. Take the full course of doxycycline (or whichever antibiotic your physician prescribes) and we'll hope for the best.

I have an appointment scheduled with an Infectious disease Doctor early next week. I have been told that this Dr. is very aggressive in treating the Lyme's disease. That could suggest that he may want to use a PICC line antibiotic treatment.

The people I know who have Lymes have had a rough time recovering and I'm told that when caught in time you can live a normal life as long as it stays in remission and you have to take medication for life. At least that is what I've been told.
