I set out to incorporate the elements of a turkey feather into a striker without being obvious about it. After studying on one for a while I decided to tap into my inner abstract artist and use black walnut and char it. It doesn’t smack in the face that it’s a turkey feather, but I think a keen eye will catch the intent.i am going to go back and char the very top edge just a thin ring.
