This season's ammo?

Aaaaahhhh! those were the days. And yes, I remember them well. As OT has said, I also have been using Noslers since the early sixtys.

I know right?

The prices are unreal, compared to today's prices!

Hoping to use the 230 gr Berger hybrid out of the 300 Norma if the reamer ever shows up. this will be phase one of the match bullet on game series.

Scottie:

Dave 405 bullets for the 45-70?

They are the best cast bullets I've found Fotis. Onesonek (Dave) makes awesome bullets. Great meplat and unreal accurate. Im sold. Everything Beartooth is and a little less leading. Both are great but I love Dave's way more.

Vintage!

Look at the prices!

Fotis will you email that please? Love the old Nosler stuff. I hear people say the older bullets like the PT are outdated and there are better nowadays. I think their heads are full of straw as I haven't seen them yet. I'm one of the guys that will shoot PTs before anything else and be really happy with the outdated design. They are like that old Dr. Mike. Just getting better with age.

Guy & Scotty,
As usual with the both of you, great looking rounds and Calibers represented. All your guns and rounds are proven killers. Good thread Guy.

Scotty, having killed both elk and beaucoup deer with both the old and the new Partition bullets since 1963, I think that I have finally reached an personal conclusion about new Partitions (made after 1975) and old partitions with crimp groove (made 1962-1975 or thereabouts), except for method of manufacture of screw machine versus impact extrusion, and despite all bullets having a two part harder and softer lead core, they are no different!

Out of probably at least 85 deer and elk over the past 50 years killed by me and probably another 180 killed by friends using Partitions, I have seen one failure to DRT from a well placed shot and I suspect that was a failure in alignment of the moons of Jupiter and not of the bullet design!
