You didn't list that beautiful 280 of yours! Man that's just wrong

SE,

5 guns is impossible! I have 3 CCW hand guns alone.
I chose the 45-70 and 338 RUM because I wanted close range and long range hammers.

FWIW, the 280 AI is going to WY this fall for speed goats.

300 Win Mag, the one I have now. (model 70)
Marlin 1895 GBL, the one I have now.
35 Whelen, the one I have now. (721 Rem
22 LR., the one I have now (10/22)
45 APC, the one I have now. (Kimber)

I am kind of seeing some trends here!!!

Red Hawk 300 WSM
338-06 Sako 75 Hunter model
Belgium made Browning Side by side 20 gauge
Cooper Phoenix .204
Winchester Model 61 .22

My (5)

Nosler Legacy .338-06
Nosler Trophy Grade .280 Ackley
Rock River AR 15 .223 w/ suppressor
Browning O/U 12 gauge 3" chambers
Kimber .45 ACP with night sight.

Question: What do I do with all the others/

Jerry 919

Wow! I'm going to have to whisper so the other guns don't hear
375 RUM 700 LSS
280 Rem. WBY ULW
Ruger Red Label 12 Ga.
Ruger 10-22
Kimber Pro-Carry II 45 acp
This is based on what I normaly use

Too easy.

Remington 700 in 30-06
Borden Rifle in 30-06
Remington 870 in 12 gauge
Browning Citori in 20 gauge
CZ 550 in 22 lr

Never had much use for pistols, and this gives me a primary and a backup for everything.

I'll too will choose from what is already on hand:

Model 70 .270 Win.

Model 70 .30-06

Model 69A .22

870 12 ga.

Sig P250 2SUM 9mm

Now I feel like I need to apologize to the rest of the gang, especially my .280 and Security Six.

Beretta Extrema
Some sort of 1911
M70 EW 7 WSM
M700 Classic .35 Whelen
M700 .223

Might replace the 1911 with a 4" S&W 29/629. Actually, probably would.

I suspect that when I get a .375 H&H, it might bump the Whelen off the list.

Interesting... no rimfires. Hmmm.

I think I might want a bit more of a split between my big and medium rifles... maybe a .25-06 of some sort?

XDM in a 45.
D-tec AR-15 243 WSSM.
Remington 870 12 Ga.
Winchester EW 7wsm.
Ruger Hawkeye 375R.

Funny, I only own one on my list. Things change a bit I guess as choices become more limited I guess.

Rem 700 35 Whelen: the cartridge can handle any game we have here, kills well without too much recoil.

Rem 700 264 WM: it's the gun I shoot the best in the field, the fit is amazing, light recoil and flat shooting.

Savage 260 Rem: not here yet but supposed to be in by summer the cartridge is a joy to shoot, accurate and light kicking.

Baikal IJ 18 single shot 12 gauge 2 3/4: my dad bought this for me as my first gun does everything I need for game birds and even has a deer to it's credit.

CZ 452 American 22 lr: very accurate high quality gun.

M70 270WSM...big game, self defense-sniper rifle
Ar-15 middy... self defense, small game-big game
Glock 23...self defense
10/22...small game
Browning Citori 12ga...small game, only shotgun I own

And where can I get one of these?
Ruger Redhawk .12 ga over/under
Sorry David could not help myself. I know you meant Red Label

Randy
And I appreciate that! Nothing gets by you guys. I have to get my computer fixed because I'm not getting these messages to posts I put comments on. The only way I know there has been something added is if I'm lucky enough to check things out, or my ears start burning from all the trash talk you guys throw my way!!

Winchester Model 70 30-06

Where did this come from? You holding out on us David?

Nope Scotty I was just answering the post honestly in that they asked if you could only have 5 what would it be. I must have at least one Ruger #1B in my collection and one of my rifles had to be a bolt action, so one of them had to be a Winchester!! I don't have a Ruger Redhawk (Red Label) either, but that is one I would have to have also. I just own a 870 Remington Express .12 ga. Nothing fancy but it works.

Your forgiven David.. I guess you could always borrow your son's rifle should you need a real .308 caliber rifle!

Kimber 1911-45
S&W Mod-19 4"
Rem 1100 12-ga
Rem 700 VS-223
Rem 700 7RM

Which one do you shoot the most?

The VS by far...

Mdl 70 push feed in 7STW
870 SuperMag with 2 barrels
Browning take down 22 LR
Kimber TLEII 45
DPMS AR Carbine

I hope my Rem 700s in 264, 280 and 308 don't read this.................

How do you think my rifles feel? My two latest infatuations didn't even come close to the list!

I have 3 CCW hand guns alone.

Took me a while, or else I just read it too fast, but if I catch your meaning here Jim, you have to obtain a CCW permit for each handgun that you may or may not carry at some point in time, you just can't get a CCW permit and carry what you want at that particular moment? Here in Montana you obtain one CCW permit and then you can carry whatever you wish to as long as the pistol is legal, then it's all good. I guess I could see that it might mean that the person had to also be qualified and efficient with each which makes sense, but it seems pretty restrictive to have to get a license for each one, expensive, time consuming, makes it hard to most folks won't get one, all of the above.
