Tough hunting dog

Molly will be thirteen at Christmas. She is pretty dang tough, actually has chewed on several grizz during our time in Alaska.
She wanted in this morning after breakfast, snow in the air but only down to 37. She’s getting old.

Sounds like Molly has earned that warm spot by the wood stove.
I had to put my Lab down at 15yrs. I saved his life as a pup and he later saved mine keeping me warm till help could arrive.
Sounds like Molly did the same for you when in Alaska.
Did my best to make his elderly years as comfortable as possible, as you are doing for Molly.
When ever I think about him I always remember the lyrics of a song my son in law likes to play for my daughter when we sit around a fire having a few drinks and listen to music.
Why don't you love me the way my Dog does.
