The turkeys were gobbling down the hill from our house this morning and the Robins returned a couple of days ago. Pretty early for that!!!

Sure signs of spring!
Today it is 40*F and there is little snow in the woods and shadows.
I am looking forward to spring turkey season, I am hunting with my daughter this year. It will be my best season ever!

Deer season ended just over a month ago and I'm now planning hog and turkey hunts through April.

Life is good.

I am so jealous of you guys that have good turkey populations close. I use to take my limit of 1 spring and 2 fall every year in TX using a variety of guns....22 Hornet, .22-250 loaded down, 30-06 with 110 fmj loaded down, and even an M1 Carbine. Never shot one over 35 yards and never had to pick out shot.

Here in CO you have to use a shotgun. I have only drawn 2 permits here and got my turkey both times. I'll take luck any day to skill.

Enjoy your spring turkey seasons guys! I am jealous!
