Branching out into hand turned ink pens. I was super excited with the burl wood gift for an ink pen I made, and proud to show it to my buddy. I was quickly deflated when he said. “It looks like a coffin for a worm”…sigh

Ever seen those bespoke ammo boxes out of wood like that? Its not turning, but your buddy could be jealous if you showed up with one of them. Ron Spomer promoted some for a while. CL

finallly got the pen done. Went with Olive wood that took 3 months to get here from Bethlehem, understandable considering what's going on over there. Glad I ordered 2 pieces; I got a little overzealous on the first and got it too thin. There's a special lady friend who's getting this one. And after doing it, I am just not nimble enough for these dainty little suckers. My sausage fingers are sticking to making turkey calls.
