Two Clicks Left and Ready To Hunt

Yes, it is a good thing that we have so many bullets and bullet manufactures to choose from filling all of our perceived notions and needs. If it has been working the old saying is true, "don't fix it if it ain't broke". :)

Couldn't agree more; Best of luck this hunting season!

Mike,
You are truly a bad man.
I just need to figure out how to get one home without anyone spotting it.

Shoots just like my 7/08. I load the 140 ABs with Big Game and a Rem 9 1/2 in the Nosler case. I'm using a VX3 2.5-8x36 and it is a perfect fit for the Ruger Hawkeye.

I shot another cow with the 180 at a little over 300 yards and hit her square in the shoulder with two 180's and the bullets fragmented, requiring a third shot behind the shoulder to put her down.

My father had a similar experience with Seirra SP in 1958 on a large Roosevelt Bull, out of an 06. Recovered the bull several miles/hours later. We have used the Nosler Partition Since.

I shot a cow with a 180 pt out of my Win Mag a couple of weeks ago. Entered 12" forward of the near ham, and was poking out of the hide just behind her off side shoulder. Bullet weighed 165 gr. I have a picture but web site will not allow attachments.

Here is a correction the bullet weighed 125 grains. When I typed this I thought something was funny, so I went back and reweighed it.

Bill, you are the only person whom I know, that has been shooting Partitions for game longer than I have!

I think Charlie I probably killed my first Elk in 61 with a 180 Partition out of an O6. I killed a nice buck that year also but I do know what bullet I used. I was16 at the time, living in Springfield, Or.

Bill, It was in 1968 that I switched over to Partitions for every game animal. I have had nothing but success since then.
