I just read a report supposedly Remington is going to allow the replacement of the triggers on all of their Model 700s.

Remington is for sale, apparently their board doesn't want them in the firearms business. Cerberus (the Hound of Hell) doesn't want to own a gun company! Strange, only if you don't think about it!

They are going to stand by fixing their triggers, finally!

I would expect it will be a trigger designed by Remington itself. I won't expect it to be offered in Canada immediately. When it is, it will be through their depot in Quebec. I can't see me bothering to send in one of my rifles.

I'm not worried about my two 700's when it comes to safety, maybe one day I'll get them replaced but then again maybe not.

Funny thing is I've had my 725 since back in the 1960's and have never had a minutes problem out of that trigger or safety. And it is a sweet one. Heck I wore the barrel out on it and had to have it replaced.

It was in response to a 2013 class action lawsuit that had been ongoing about a father in Montana? That lost his very young son to trigger failure.

The issue is a lot older than 2013. It was in the news in the early 2000's and again in 2010.
