Upcoming Load Development

have 55gr, 70gr bal tips, 77gr lapua HPs and Sierra 60gr HPs loaded up for the savage M10 tomorrow. Like a kid at Christmas, I will not be able to sleep in tomorrow :)

Hoping to get my 243AI back from gunsmith next week and recheck a few loads with 95gr VLD and 105VLD. Then develop load for 90gr etips. Also 270wby with 140AB or 150IB. Then fine tune 223rem 50gr NBT with blc2 or rl7.

Well boys, there WILL be some 243 Win load development.

This will be a coyote rifle, light and responsive. The history of this rifle goes back over 25 years and it is still NIB.
Stay tuned, details to follow...........

Jim. That is great you are getting a proper rifle back into your safe. I am sure it will not let you down! How long before you get the rifle back into your paws? Scotty

1 month Scotty.

I think you will be surprised.

Do not even get me started.

Rugers #1's in 6mm 25-06, 264, 300 win, 338 win, 7x57mm, 458 Lott, 220 swift

7mm rum sendero, 416 bee with the 350 Tipped tsx

That is enough to drive anyone insane.

I was thinking that a 1:10 would have been a bit faster and worked just fine on the 140s that this gun is going to see most of its life. The biggest bulllet that it will ever see is a 160 AB. I'm not unhappy with the end result by anymeans. I just smoked my third yote of the week and only needed three 140 BTs.

Muleman, Take a good hard look at Big Game for the 375R with the 260 AB. Mine really liked it before the stock cracked. I have heard great results with RL-17 as well but havn't played with it myself.

40 gr lead-free BT for the .223s - can't wait to see what they do to prairie dogs in June
130 gr E-Tip for the .270
150 gr E-Tip for the .30-06
180 AB for the .338

The .243 is the only one I don't have anything lined up for. Still, if I get the above done, I may buy another box of 100 gr PTs to run through it...

Load work to be done:
Tweek final load for 300WSM using 180 AB and R22
Load 2000 rounds for the .204 in my Cooper (35 grain Berger with Benchmark)
Load 1500 rounds for the Ruger #1 22-250 (50 grain BT and R-12)

Get M70 Featherweight back from the smith in May with 6.5WSM chambering in a Brux 26 inch barrel and start working up loads with 130 grain AB's. Will be trying several powders including the new Super Performance from Hodgen. I will be using a bushing die for the first time, so I may need to ask some questions of anyone who is using this type of dies.

I have to get something figured out for my 22-250. Then I'm going to finish finding a load for the 280. Everything else already has a load worked up for it, so I just gotta keep fresh rounds loaded up for my wife's 38 special. It's nothing for her to shoot 100-200 rounds in a day!

Just got back in, had a pretty good day after I got my rear mount figured out. Pretty sure the boy tuned out the cussing after a while  .

Can't wait to hear about the shock and awe of the 6.5WSM. I think it is going to turn some heads! Scotty

Yeah, you definitely need to start a thread about that one!

OK, Kendog, a little translation from Canukian English Amurcan English. What is a loonie? I figure it's some sort of coin, but which one?

ETA: never mind. I guess it's the equivalent of a Susan B.

lol, it's our dollar, a toonie is a Canadian 2 dollar coin. No bills for those anymore, heard talk a couple years ago to get a coin for the 5 spot as well.
