BK , as far as shooting prone I don't like it as well as the A3, but for using.it as intended from sitting. or offhand I like it better. the sporter has a higher comb and doesn't set into your check weld as well as the full tacticals do while prone.

Thanks, man.

Jim, thank you the Norma will have the same fluting on it only deeper.

Fotis, thanks for the kind words.

BK, no problem. I have been looking at the A3-5 for my next project I think for a short action that may be the ticket.

Purely in the interest of science, one day I would like to order similarly a set-up A2, A3, A4, A5, and A3-5 just to see which I like best.

All in purple McSwirley or purple camo, of course.

Took the 22x47 "out" today, meaning I shot it off my porch at 800 yards, seems I have just enough room to clear the powerlines. velocity has been pretty consistent firing the necked down cases within 10 fps with the occasional. aberration. accuracy has been superb hitting 10" rocks on the hillside is quite easy. barrel has just under 100 rounds and has been heat cycled and set. will be taking it out in Saturday for antelope. side note, I did have a small concern about the ignition with the small primer, it was 34 degrees this morning and had no issues so far.

Which bullet were you using for the 800 yard shots Jeff? Just wondering if the Amax ahot as well as the JLK?

Joel, I used both the jlk. and the amax , the jlk was a bit more consistent but both shot well from this barrel.
