I have attempted to contact Berger several times over the last few weeks.
( I realize this is a poor time of year to contact anyone for info )
My question is.......Will the VLD's max out on pressure before the B-Tips / A.B.s ? I'm guessing to start with minimum published loads and work up?
Anyone with experience with those bullets?

Rich,

I'll do so....
And of course you need more !! We all do.

I agree, but my gun safe is has mysteriously become to small now. Also, living in a one bedroom apt, doesn't lend itself to have a huge gun safe. It's bad enough my 12/24 safe is right next to my bed. I reload in what is suppose to be my dining room. Before you ask, yes, I am single.

Sounds like the perfect set-up to me !
You need to fill the lower end gap it looks like........260 ??

I shot the 210g Bergers at 3000fps with 89g Retumbo. Others are using around 93-94g Retumbo, but my groups opened up at the hotter charges. I'm not to sure if they'll max out in pressure before or after Btips or AB's. I know that they are very accurate bullets, with pretty high BC's, and they wreak havoc on anything they hit. To find data, I just asked around and cross referenced. One thing about VLD's is they like to be at or in the lands, so you'll be using it as a single shot. What powder are you planning on using?? What weight of bullet you planning on using?? Definately let us know what happens.

I was looking at the 185's or 190's I take it the twist rate is ok in the Sendero....looks as if the lighter guys are not 175's and down.
The powder I've had the best luck with is RL-25 and N-165. I have attemptd the 200 A.B.s with all three powders and not real impressed, the 180's are better.
You say wreak havoc? Are they an explosive type bullet? comming apart?
Opinions on chrono's Starting to look at those too.
Thanks !
