I put some warne rings on my Sako 85 and used the warne torque wrench on the bases and rings. I have noticed my groups haven't been that great and suspected the scope mount. I took a screwdriver with the star point and checked the tightness of the ring screws. They seemed really loose to me. Could recoil from a 30-06 cause them to loosen up? Normally I would just snug them down but didn't want to damage the scope. Maybe they are harder to damage than I think.
I also read somewhere that warne is discontinuing their mounts for 85 due to fit problems?
I took the warne torque driver back it didn't seem that well made or reliable? Has anyone had same or different experiences.
Should I just snug em down hand tight??
