I have fired a total of 4 6mm 70gr BT's at coyotes since I got my .243. First was a straight on chest shot at 70+- yards, worked perfectly. Second, I missed a head shot, resulting in a gut shot at 101 yards, third was a follow up to that shot.
Yesterday, I fired my fourth bullet at a coyote which resulted in complete bullet failure!!! It missed the coyote completely!!!
Just kidding. I did not judge the distance right. Thought he was right at 300 yards, crosshairs firmly planted at the top of his back, bullet hit just under him. I suspect he was 325-350 yards. I really wanted to see the performance at this distance.
Anybody use these bullets at 300 yards and beyond on anything bigger than a woodchuck?
