Weirdest, oddest, freaky, deformed critter you ever took.

Me thinks its a glue job !!!! Cute idea though !!!

I got mine on a ranch in Texas, it was fun but not really challenging. I was using a bullet that had never been used before though so that made it much more interesting. I got an axis deer on the same trip and that was a lot more challenging. I've never seen an animal that could run through the thorny Texas scrub brush without making a sound or touching a branch like that.

I guess you do hunt them.!!!!! See this is why I am on this forum, so that I can learn about things I did not know.? Which are many! Great trophy and you are right it is an attention getter.

Justin,

That Jacob's sheep is very cool!
What was the special bullet you used?

Most of my oddities came on the trapline. The pix were all on my old computer that had a bit of a meltdown. Caught a 2 tailed muskrat, a beaver with only a little stub of a tail, 2 albino raccoons, a hunchbacked coyote that was only able to feed from residential garbage and dogfood dishes (nuisance call). The most interesting was an otter with a 3" brass fishing spoon inside of a large growth on the side of his head. Apparently the wound healed completely around the spoon after he got caught in it. No puss or infection, just a large tumor like growth completely encapsulating the spoon.

I found a pair of whitetail sheds in the woods that were fused together at the browtine once. Gave them to the landowner as I was working on private property at the time I found them.

Nastiest thing I have ever seen......

What was the critter doing? Kissing toads? Fotis, you're the winner so far, hands down!

Fotis we got one that had similar growths like this buck you showed did, but not to that extreme! Oh my!

That makes me sick to look at it! I would have shot it then called the game warden to come pick it up. Man I'm gonna have nightmares!

THAT will keep the ol' wildlife biologist busy for a week or two! I believe incineration would be appropriate in this case...

Yikes!, A good joke would have been to pull up to your taxidermist and ask how he wants it caped.

OK, I generally dont go in for "train wreck" and reality show TV. But this one has me curious. Anybody ever seen one like this:

Just figured this one was suffering and it honestly gave me the creeps seeing it hop around in the front yard.

"ole trusty" did the work. Not bad considering its been around since 1974.....

I did not take that animal (Thank God).

Just read about it.

Yikes! That deer is freakly ugly.
It must be related to the Lee sisters, uglee and homlee.

I should think that whoever shot that critter showed it mercy. I hope the game wardens gave him a rebate on his licence.
