my pact professional chrony just gave up the ghost, can't get a start signal. Its earned its keep, bought it around 1986 but can't get parts for it, just ordered a caldwell. We'll see how it does. if it lasts like the pact did it will see me out!
 
You got your value out of the old chronograph for sure.
Did you consider the magnito chronograph?

I did, with all the different barrel diameters and brakes on my rifles, to be honest I just don't know enough about all the adapters I would need to use it on my rifles, guess thats due to my ignorance, with deer season coming and several rifles to work with I needed a plug and play unit.
 
They do reach a limit, don't they. One of my Shooting Chrony chronographs gave up the ghost this summer. I'm deep on means of measuring velocities, however, so I wasn't hurt. I should imagine that the Caldwell will do you well.
