Well I hit the range this morning for some fun. First up was my 50cal. Hawken. I have not shot it in over two years. With 90gr of pyrodex and a .490 round ball and .015 lubed patch, I was able to put 3 shots in a 6" circle at 100 yards with open sights. I also shot my 22-250 and did okay. I did not shoot my best when comparing numbers from the last trip. Last time, Win 760 shot .507" with 38.5gr and today it shot .911". It was my best group. I ran the same test loads as last time and the groups copy each other with 38.5 being the smallest each day. I have never shot my 17HMR for a 3 shot group and was able to get .926" at 100 yards with Winchester 17gr VMax bullets. Other than that, I was able to get my 6.5 Grendel 1.229" with 129 Interlocks that I have loaded for fireforming. Lastly, I shot my .357mag revolver. It went bang but the guy shooting it is not very good with handguns. I had a blast and can't wait to get the 06 back. I plan on loading up some 22-250 rounds with 38.5gr and then changing the seating depth by .005. Right now I am at my max lenght so they will be getting shortened up a little at a time.
