What is your favorite caliber for hunting?

#1 270WSM 130 gr. partitions 3300fps.

#2 25-06 115 partitions 3150fps

#3 7MM rem. 160 gr. partitions 3100fps

#4 338 WM 225 gr. partitions 2950fps.

I use them all for different kinds of hunting but in the order they are in is the order i use most. the 338 is one i only use for moose and elk and it's accuracy is as good as the rest. I love them all for the right type of hunting.

6.5x.284 is the latest favorite. several one shot kills on elk and a great lang range deer getter. All with x bullets and partitions. Also great on whistle pigs with 100 gr. bullets.

Love my .308 nothing more versitile. I have been on a .223 kick lately though no recoil.

For Varmit, 22LR, 22Mag, and my 223 Mini14 and Hollow Points for all.

I don't Deer hunt much anymore, but that old Winchester Pre-64 Model 94 30-30 that now rests in my gun cabinet never let me down. I know it's not fancy and fast, but for the brush hunting country here in Western Washington it did a wonderful job.

Happy and Safe Shooting

It would be a tie between my .338 and my .375. Take Africa out ot consideration and I would take the .338.
