What powder for Nosler 150gr. Partition in the .270 Win.?

I've got a TX hog hunt coming up and am looking to narrow down my choices.

I'm thinking H4831. What say you folks?

The 270-150gr Partition is excellent hog medicine. Also you powder selection in great, as long as that particular powder shoots well in your gun.

While H-4831 is probably the most popular in the .270 Win., others that would also be worth a look are Reloder 22 and Vihtavuori N-165 or N-560. Just have to try them out to see which is the best in your particular rifle. Other possibilities would be Accurate 3100 and Magpro.

RL22 george 58-59 gr.

I tried h4831sc, H1000, and RL22 with 150g gameking. H1000 was giving me 100fps slower velocities at around 2900 for max loads. h4831sc and Rl22 were 2950-3000fps with max loads. IN my particular .270, I would say 58g was about max, although I am using a mag primer, might have a litle to do with it. I was experiencing good bolt lift, and my cases were having some shiny marks. My accuracy load was at RL-22 57.5g with .5" groups at 200yards and 3010fps. Good luck.
