Last Fall I sold a Browning Abolt 7mm STW composite/blued 26" barrel w/Leupold VX3 3.5-10X40 scope to a guy. When we went to transfer the registration(I'm from Canada) it turns out his permit is expired by 10 years or so. It was the old FAC permit that hasn't been issues since 1996. He says to try it anyway and as I expected it was a no go. He goes on that he wants it anyway and pays me a good price for it. I can't give it to him without transfering it to him, but gave him 100 rounds of new win brass and some RCBS 7mm STW dies.
That was September and I haven't heard from him since. I called him in Feb and he said that he'd messed up the application and it got sent back. Figured that he'd have it wrapped back up in a week, it's been another almost 2 months and still nothing.
It has stayed in my guncase and been in the way for 8 months, I am tempted to buy another set of dies, some brass and use it, but that isn't right.
I am not sure what I'll do if it isn't gone by fall, it is a great deer rifle.
What would you guys do?
