What's that one rifle?

.25-06 Rem 700 CDL with a 6x Leupold, slinging 115 gr Noslers at about 3120 fps. The rifle has worked great on game from 20 - 420 yards. Mostly mule deer, but a pronghorn, a few coyotes and rockchucks too. Remingtonman tells me the .25-06 works great on bear, though I haven't tried it for that yet. A few buddies have used the cartridge for elk, and I surely wouldn't pass up a shot opportunity at elk while carrying this rifle.

Guy

Mine would be a Ruger M77 MKII in 25/06. Mine has taken a lot of game, 115 Noslers shoot into less than half an inch, recoil is very low, & it was my first rifle. I suspect that last part has the most to do with it.

Mine is my Pre64 338 Win Mag. Very nice shooting rifle, carries plenty of bullet weight and isn't 10lbs of rifle to lug around the mountains either.

Your wife did very well with that rifle, Scotty. She surely knows you well.

Great pics Scotty I really like the one with the rifle in your right hand and the RED WHITE and BLUE in your left.

Wish I could answer this one but I fear I can not.

Probably my 30-378 Sako TRGS. Love that thing! Accurate and light!

Yeah, that would be a rifle that would get just about anything done, that needs doing!

Thanks for the comments fella's. Just got my new milled front base back from Talley, I bore sighted the Swaro, so it should be getting some range time pretty quick.

And the fun begins all over again. You're going to enjoy this, Scotty.

I hope so Mike. So far, it feels just about perfect on the gun. I have probably shouldered it a 100 times, and that scope feels right on.

Well mine has to be my custom 280AI with a Swaro Z6 2.5-15X44 BT with a #4. My load is a 160 AB WLR primers 62.5 gr of IMR 7828SSC at 3.435" 3162 outta a 28" tube. Put another calf killer down tonight unknown range at shot but I paced it off at 320 yards. I have absolute confidence when I pull the trigger if I judge the range right even in a 20 mph wind out to 300 anything I aim at will go down. Deer size game I would be comfortable at 400 and elk to 500. It is a special rifle.

I've only hunted with this one one season but its a dream to carry and insane accurate. It's a tikka t3 270win. It killed my buck, one of my does, a doe for my 12 year old buddy, and a buck for another buddy. I shot 130gr accubonds with h4831sc at about 2950fps. I put a vx3 4.5-14x40 CDS with a custom turret and its dead on out to 650 yards.

Here is the deer is killed
My 2012 buck. 200 yard shot with 3 minutes of shooting time left. Dropped where he stood

My 12 year old buddy's first doe. He heart shot her at about 175 yards and she ran about 20 yards and piled up

I shot a doe at 375 yards out of the group this buck was is. She dropped and my buddy shot A this buck with his remington 710. He was hitting all over the place so he laid down behind my tikka while the buck was still standing out by the doe I had just shot. He drilled the buck and he ran a little ways and fell over. This was only about an hour after the 12 year old killed his doe and we had 3 deer down! The CDS turret works like a dream!

Awesome rifle Jake.

DT, that rifle looks made to hunt man. Looks like it really does love the 150 BT's alot! That is an awesome shooter.

Thanks! I love it. I found a barely used stainless t3 270win takeoff barrel for sale a while back for $50. Kickin myself for not buying it. Because with as much as I like shooting this rifle, the barrel won't last forever! The 150gr ballistic tip group is the best group I've ever shot with a standard weight factory rifle. I've got another one hole 3 shot target but it was shot with my 15lb 338edge.

Mine would be my Savage 111 in 7mag. The most accurate rifle I have ever owned. Love it.

Corey

Some fantastic pictures here, folks. Keep it up.

As for my own, it would have to be the FN .270 Featherweight topped with a 6x42 Leupold. I just realized I don't have any pictures of it with game  but it has accounted for several whitetails, a few cottontails and one sparrow. It's taken deer with 130 ABs, ETs and BTs. I've got a couple boxes of Partitions on deck for development this summer. It digests most powders in the 4350/4831 burn rate just fine.

The rifle balances like a dream and is light enough to carry around all day, at least here in the flatlands. And while there's nothing magic about the .270 cartridge, almost everything O'Connor said about it is true. Accurate, light recoil and plenty of speed.
