finally getting this H&R dialed in. all I did today was length test. every group I shot was good enough for normal hunting. this was the best of them.

200 NAB and 61.0gr RL-15 with a COAL of 3.363 fed 210m and RP brass. it clocks a very slow 2622fps with a SD of 7.6.

That's an accurate load, great shooting. I just started loading the same bullet, did you have much compression with RL 15?

I can live with that!

Nicely done.
That is a pretty good load.

That is a very accurate load I will be trying that for WT this year
Thank you for photos & report :)

Blessings,
Dan

That is a great load right there. I can't see you ever having an issue with that one.

Gerry, 61 grains fits pretty easily when a longer drop tube is used. I run 61 with the 225 AB and at my COAL of 3.45 I'm just barely getting a little powder compression.

Thanks Scotty, I may have to do the drop tube with my 60 gr Varget/225 gr AB load it doesn't compress too bad but I would like to settle the powder a bit more.

there isn't a "lot" of compression in this length. I don't really know any way to measure it. RL-15 seems to like compression. my shortest load picked up 40fps over this one and shot under an inch. at 3.300 it was compressed enough to make the press handle heavy when seating.

Thanks dlove, compression isn't a big deal just curious. Nice to see you stuck with it and found yourself an accurate load for the H&R ,that will knock the snot out of deer for sure. :)
