Which powder to get more speed in 7 Mag

H1000 or Retumbo gives good velocity and accuracy in a 7 RM, plus they're very consistent and temp stable. Those are my favorite powders for magnums, for the above reasons. A lot of powders will give good velocity, but are either temp sensitive, or not very consistent lot to lot.

I have had very good luck with RL22 and 26 both provide excellent velocity and accuracy in my rifles. There are urban-legends about RL22 having some temperature velocity swings but finding empirical evidence is difficult. My load in a 300WM has shown about a 55FPS swing in velocity from a 25 degree day to a 95 degree day. Not enough to change anything for hunting purposes. This is my rifle and my magneto speed chronograph; not a scientific or industry report. RL 26 is another beast. It provide amazing velocity and accuracy in my 270s and 300WM, but availability has been the limiting factor.

My Nosler Loading manual and others all show velocities in excess of 3,000 fps using both H4350 and H-4831. Both requiring over 60 gr. of powder. What loads are you using? I would rather hit "exactly" where I pointed, than gain a little more velocity.
I know this is an older post, but im using 68.5-69gr of H4831sc behind the 160gr partitions/accubonds for 3100 out of my old stainless barreled 700 Remington. Faint electoral marks, but not enough to worry about. 6-8 loading on my brass so thats good too. 70.5-71 grains of H4831sc will get me over 3300fps with 150gr bullets and bughole groups.
