Concerning this post...

As you can see it comes with a Leupold 3-9 Rifleman on it.

What would you replace it with were it yours?

The power range is correct, just need better glass.
Myself, the VX-5HD 2-10x42mm would be my pick.

That or the 2.5-8x36mm Leupold VXIII with the B&C reticle sure would be a nice fit. Not too big and not too small, good glass, and a rugged little scope. Nothing wrong with a 6x42mm Leupold fixed power also.

Since I have a VX-3 2.5-8x35 B&C on my LH Steyr Mannlicher Model M FS SE in 6.5x55, that is a great choice as recommended above!
And I have a Kahles Helia 3-9x42 TDS on my Winchester Model 1885 Low Wall in 6.5x55, so another great choice of power range as recommended above too!
Look forward to seeing what you mount on that Tikka with the pretty wood!

Leupold 4x12x40 with the Creedmoor reticle on both of my 6.5x55s. The holdover dots correspond well with loads 2700-2800fps and it's a good fit for my area of hunting. I sight dead on then the first dot is 200yds and the second is for 300yds. Works perfect for me as that is as far as I want to shoot anymore. Last time hunting with my Tikka I used the second dot for two deer at 180 yds and 195yds using a Hornady 140gr bullet and RL22.
