The gun got its nickname when I shot a doe in the head and my buddies say she whipped around in a full 360 before she dropped to the ground.
My boy Jayden with his first elk!!! 220 yard uphill shot, sorry no bullet recovery.

Congratulations to your son. That first animal is addictive, and all of us relive the excitement of the hunt when we see younger hunters with their first game! Thanks for posting.

Awesome picture, awesome load and great job! That picture is great. Looks like he hit it very well and the PT did the work easily! Great job. Scotty

Great Job!! He'll be talking about this one for a long time.

How was the pack out? Did he get to experience the full deal with an Elk?

Congratulations to both you and your son. Great job and excellent shooting to boot! I'll bet she's going to be wonderful on the dinner plate!

The hike up to her was short, yet steep and exhausting in the snow. Some locals showed up and helped out greatly! They knew of a road just behind where she died, and they had their atv's near us about the time we had her all cleaned out. Lassoed her to a wheeler, then the boy and I slid back down the hill and met our new friends at the bottom! The easiest pack-out job ever!!! God bless fellow outdoorsmen! aint no better people on this earth!

chet,

That pack out was "Golden Delux"!
