Who's owned or used Canik pistols enough to form an opinion?

I was at the range the other day and as so often happens, I ended up shooting the breeze with another shooter. He was shooting a Canik pistol (9mm, of course). I asked him how he liked it and he was very fond of it. He insisted that I check the trigger pull on it, and when I did I was very impressed---it had the best trigger of any striker fired pistol I have ever handled. I have a pair of CZ P-10Cs with aftermarket trigger parts and they're not bad at all, but that Canik was awfully sweet.

I would never choose a pistol based on the trigger pull alone, so I am wondering about reliability, longevity and durability, and of course accuracy.

Who's messed with them?

The PH I had last time I was in South Africa carried a Canik. I fired a magazine through it and found it perfectly acceptable with that limited exposure.

My niece has had her Canik for roughly two years and has put a lot of bullets down the barrel. Has held up well and is very accurate.
