Why no 100 or 110 grain BT for the 6.8?

Nosler has the Accubonds in these weights but why not the Ballistic tips? At the velocity the 6.8 SPC shoots it seems the BT's would have been a better fit. Any ideas why?

Thanks,
Ron

I would imagine they just have not gotten around to developing them yet. I am sure if you give Nosler some time, they will get them out, if there is any kind of demand for them! Scotty

A large portion of the 6.8 customer base is in the tactical world. A bonded bullet gives you more flexability in many tactical situations. Consiering the moderate velocities of the 6.8 a BT offering or two would be nice.

I concur.

I guess I too have been wondering the same thing myself, why an AccuBond and no Ballistic Tip.

In fact I have been seriously considering buying a 6.8 Upper Receiver Assembly to use on one of my AR Lowers.

Considering that very few rifles are chambered in the 6.8SPC and few are sold it would seem a long shot to design another bullet around that cartridge.

I was looking to get that caliber for a first rifle for my nephew but could not find any bolt actions chambered for it. It seems like the perfect low recoil deer round for a beginner. With better velocity and trajectory than the 30-30 and better downrange performance due to the bullet selection.

I think its rim diameter is the reason it is not chambered in more rifles as I believe it requires a different bolt than most chamberings.
