Why the disparity in the .338-06 vs .35 Whelen?

Consequently, I'm supposed to have a 358 Norma Magnum available for load development by July. That means--let's see, moose opens August 15 and Elk opens September 1 and Black Bear opens August 15 and if I get a grizzly draw they will open August 15--yeah, I could possibly be packing new thirty-five calibre heat by this fall.

I have a fine rifle that delivers excellent accuracy while packing a punch. I'll probably carry it this coming week when I go out seeking bruins to accompany me to a barbeque.
Boy that was short and sweet. I expected a longer spiel and excitations.

It is a reading day, and I'm swamped with a lot of technical literature to consume and a short time. I write between chapters.

All I can add at this point is two more elk have made it to the freezer since I last posted. 8) Planning on adding number four come next January. The more I use my Whelen the more I like it.
