I don't know, my Dad carried his as his one and only large game rifle for over 20 yrs. Killed a boatload of deer with it and killed a bear back when that was a huge deal in this state. Just seeing a bear anytime of the yr was a rarity much less getting to kill one in hunting season. All with the original buckhorn sights. I even remember of him shooting groundhogs with it when I was a kid.
But, that rifle certainly shows more wear than the one you got.
