Winchester Lovers

Thanks DrMike. Now if only Nosler came out with a high BC 270gr ETip in 375 caliber....

I bought one of these rifles a few years ago and had my gunsmith tear it apart. Well, put a new barrel on it and got rid of the factory stock. Added Leupold and proceeded to kill game with it. Probably my favorite rifle and have great love for the 300 RUM cartridge. Just hammers stuff.

Stick a 240 match king in that bad boy... stoke it with 100 grains of US869... and make an appointment with a dentist... because you're going to need all of your fillings replaced.

What speeds are you realizing and at what COAL?

Thanks.

Got to chatting up guns with another fellow the other day here at the house. He is looking to buy a 325 WSM. I hated to to it but I really promoted the new model 70's based on what all here have said. He may hate me for life but we will see. !

Bill, if he heeds your advice, he'll thank you profusely for steering him into a sound purchase.

...naw, he starts shooting that .325, & you'll probably have to keep him from kissing you...

...biggest problem w/ the .325 WSM is to shine to it's full potential it needs to be loaded w/ a 220gr. high B.C. bullet developed for 8mm RM velocities, & that leaves you w/ the 220gr. Sierra GameKing. 195-200grs. don't give you any advantage over a .300 WSM, & their BC's sukk...

...it's sure a shame there's not a 220gr. 8mm AccuBond...

You need a nice M70 EW or Kimber Montana in .325...

Yeah, I know where there is a brand new EW 325 for a really good price and I have resisted it for a long time. Not sure if I could resist should it still be there when I get home. Might even be less money?

If we're casting votes, I'll add my vote for a 220 grain 8mm AB.
