I always look at the wind more than anything to plan my range trips. I am wondering what my cutoff should be for wind speed to know it is going to affect bullet flight at 100-200 yards? I try to keep it under 10 mph, but don't know how much even that speed will affect bullet flight. :?:

Good question.
160gr 7mm bullet at 3450 is blown .4" per 10 mph of wind at 100 yards.
If you get those gusting and switching winds, that can really play havoc with your groups.
If I'm doing real load work, not just chronographing, I want it as calm as possible. If I'm just checking my zero, I'll do that up to 20 mph.
If on the other hand, all the hard work is done, and I'm just practicing before I head up for a hunt in Wyoming, then the harder the better. Last time I was up there I clocked the winds at 55mph.

At that distance, if you are not shooting for group, you really need not to worry. At 10 MPH it would only push your bullet about 3 inches. What you need is a windmeter that could tell you exactly what the wind is doing and at what speed like these one.
