I managed to tag what I consider a respectable ten point buck that was 2.5 years old.
The load for the 280 Remington was 57grain of H4831 behind a 140gr PT MV2940

Happy birthday and congrats on the deer, I'm sure DrMike and a few others will give you extra bonus points for using the 280 Rem :)

Congrat's on the awesome buck! That's a real nice one. Awesome looking 280 as well! Way to hammer them deer!
 
Personally, I think the real birthday gift was haveing my girlfriend go hunting for the first time.
She managed to survive the cold, and made the comment that she hoped that the weather would be more pleasant next year. Though the weather was far from ideal to introduce a new hunter to the sport. Air temperature was about 20 degrees F below normal with windchill at a balmy -10 to +5 F. Gee DrMike, if i didn't know better I would think that you had something against Wisconsin deer hunters :twisted:

A nice buck, meat in the freezer and a day in the hills with your girlfriend. Cant think of anything better! Nice job!
