Was delighted to see the Wyoming pronghorn tag show up in the mail a few days ago, but haven't seen the mule deer tag yet.

Re-checked the Wyoming web site, and it confirms that I've been drawn for mule deer and pronghorn - sure hope that mule deer tag shows up soon!

Roysclockgun (Steven) is in the same boat. Pronghorn tag, but no deer tag, yet.

Anyone know if the deer tags get mailed out at a later date?

Good show, Guy. Maybe the state just wants to build anticipation on the mulies? You know, let you suffer a bit of anxiety for a while.

Tell you what, Guy, getting that tag so early is not good. In fact, there's a strong chance it could get misplaced or accidentally destroyed between now and opening day. Here's what I think you should do - I'll send you a FedEx label and you can overnight that tag directly to me. I'll "hold" it in safe keeping until the season, and FedEx it back to you...

Wow! You're a real stand up guy, dubyam. That is a heck of a deal. As I've often said, the generosity of people posting on this forum leaves me breathless.

I recieved the "Dear John" letter and a refund check yesterday. The tags I have drawn are not here yet. Brian

Our group all got drawn for:

3, Any Deer

3, Antelope

1, Cow Elk Tag (mine)

Now all we have to do is get the rifles checked out, and wait for the seasons to start.

"Let the games begin"!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to you and your gang, Dave. It does sound as if it will be a good season for you.

Dave you and your crew did real well should be a fun fall for the gang.
Photos and stories galore

Blessings,
Dan

Congratulations all. Opening that evelope and seeing the tags will definitely get your heart pumping. Now the long, long wait.

Colorado did the same with my Elk and Mule deer tags. Sent them 8 days apart which raised the anxiety level here for that period.

Glad to hear you got picked in both draws.

Whew! The mule deer tag finally showed up in the mail.

I was getting a little anxious about that. Sure am looking forward to the trip!

It's always good to have those in hand, Guy. We'll all be looking forward to a great report and lots of fine pictures of the Wyoming countryside.

Well, maybe not quite yet... How 'bout I wait until October?

Interesting - when I do these out-of-state hunts, I don't really get to do any scouting, and of course on this trip the whole area will be new to me. I'll be learning the area while I hunt it. That's fun, but not always conducive to good hunting. I'll do what I can. I think I like learning the land and hunting it, almost as much as actually tagging an animal.

I really enjoy my "scouting" hikes up through my local mountains every year leading up to deer season. Still doing those hikes even though I won't be hunting for mule deer at home this year. This Wyoming hunt is at the same time as my Washington season, doggone it.

Regards, Guy

I got my last chance, drop dead, only one left, Wyoming cow tag in the mail while I was gone. I am now set for the season, some great hunts planned, now if I can get enough work to pay for them all.

Region C, up in the northeast corner of the state.

Normally when I hunt Wyoming I hit the western parts of the state, but not this time.
