so at this estate sale......
there is a rifle, and i don't know much about remingtons, but I kinda want to go back and buy this one.
It is built on a XP100 action, the barrel is 221fireball bull stainless about 22" of unknown mfg.
the stock is syn of unknown mfg .
the scope is a fixed 16x leupy.....

it seems like a quite interesting setup....... and their asking price is less than the scopes value.

I did not look to see if it was set up as a single shot or repeater......
any thoughts?

It is probably a single shot, but if the whole package is cheaper than the scope I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. See if they will throw in some dies, brass, and bullets as well while you are at it.

Grab it. It can be a wonderfully accurate rifle, and it sounds like a bargain.

Go get that 222 Rem! Man, that and the XP sound like great deals.

What are they asking for that 222 Rem? Scotty

Chet, my friend,

Sounds like a great deal, buy it. The 221 FB has a lot of cool factor. 8)
For the record, friends don't let friends shop estate gun sales alone.

Call me ASAP.

scotty,
I got a little mixed up here. Just got off the phone with them:

the 222 is a model 722 varmint/blue w/ 12x leupy it is $600

the BDL is a 223 varmint/blue w/ 16x leupy it is $850

the bdl has the factory bbl, the 722 has a custom bbl of unknown mfg.

there is also an ADL that has the original open sight bbl stamped "7mm rem express"
WAY COOL!!!!!!!!!! first 280 that I've ever seen with that stamping! it is $675

there is a 700 with a short VERY heavy 221fb, cheap plastic stock, the blueing is all polished off the action and there is pitting. $350.00

I wish they had the original barrel for the 660, it may have been a 35 cal!!!!!

there is a single shot bench gun.... i dont recognize the action???? only stamping is on the barrel " 22BRTIN" it wears a 12x burris and is $450

there is a savage 112 220swift 16x leupy for $800

I'd be more than happy to ship one to ya!!!! 8)

also a dozen or so pistols...... they all seemed way overpriced to me.

Thanks for the info Chet. My uncle has a M700 BDL in 222 Rem, it was one of those rifles that just piled bullets right on top one another. Scotty
