Year End Reflections

Merry Christmas fellas .
I thought we needed some decoration to brighten this place up a little . here is the Christmas 2015 outdoorsmans edition stocking holder .

Oh my what a nice stocking holder but I wonder if Santa will have mixed feelings filling those stockings hung from Antlers?
Very nice work and Christmas decoration I like it. (y)

This next year will be interesting, fun and busy! On January 12th I will be starting a new job. The plus side to this is a substantial raise above what I am currently making! As for other things on the upcoming agenda; will likely have a short distance move, along with planning a wedding for September 17th of 2016. All in all, it doesn't look like I will have much time for hunting or fishing in the next year.
Keith

Congratulations on the wedding, Keith. May God bless your marriage, filling your lives with joy and peace. Hey, doesn't mean you can't find a day or two to tag a deer.

Congrats on the new job and the up coming marriage. You'll have to do what I did 46yrs a go and make her your best friend and teach her to fish and hunt then you will have all the time you want to do both.

2015 was a year of challenge and change for me. The challenges were overcome and the changes were survived. I have so much to be thankful for but in the day to day life it is sometimes hard to remember that.

One of things that I have to be thankful for is belonging to this forum. I have learned so much from so many contributors. Also, I am continually amazed at how supportive the forum members are of each other, not only for their reloading efforts, but also in their personal lives.

Rol_P and I seemed to have formed our own little "users group" and we may soon be adding a third.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you and your families.

Dan

Truck driver,
I converted her to hunting three years ago, unfortunately, she has not been able to fill her tag yet. She start fishing long before I got acquainted with her online. As for fishing, we have a major problem she almost always manages to out fish me. :( Yes I still love her!
Keith

Merry Christmas to all of y'all. I don't really post much on here but I check it every day. There is a ton of knowledge on here. I just wanted to say it's great reading all of y'all s post.

Cleveland48, always a pleasure to have others aboard regardless of how much they post. Your presence is important to each of us. A Merry Christmas to you and yours.

It definitely has been a great year as I just recently celebrated the first anniversary of my bypass surgery and I continually thank my Lord for his grace and protection. I was also blessed with a opportunity to travel to northern British Columbia and was graciously accepted into the home of DrMike we had a great time moose hunting. Meeting Gerry and hunting with him, DrMike, Gil, Noah & John was just icing on the cake.
Too everyone on the forum, this is a special group of people and I can not express my amazement on how such a large group can get along so well. I pray that this continues for the years to come.
Remember have Fun, Shoot straight and most of all be Safe.

Blessings,
Dan

It was a highlight of my hunting season to share the time with you and Gerry, Dan. I only wish it had been more productive so far as game is concerned. Still, the camaraderie was delightful and exhilarating. A Blessed and Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a prosperous New Year.

Don't know how I missed this post, but I'd like to wish everyone a joyful and prosperous New Year in 2016.

This past month has been...... well time consuming! The high winds and now the snow load on all the trees has had them falling like dominos across my driveway. Sure it's been a lot of work, but I'm still thankful for nothing falling on my house, or the cabin, the car port, or my storage containers that I made into a shed to park the tractor under.

Thinking about the "other outcome" I take it all in stride, and in someways look at it as good exercise although I had to finally buy a new chain saw Christmas Eve at 5 PM. I've used a Stihl 028 AV Super WB for the last 27 years and it was giving me some issues but has never let me down until now, but is showing its age......... like the owner I suppose, but I and it still have a lot of life ahead I'm sure? The new Stihl should outlast me if it lasts as long as the first one.

Best wishes to every one and God Bless.

I don't regret not taking a shot this year, when I could have and eating Tag Soup (2X). I was having too much fun 'hunting' to bother spoiling the day. 'Lopes will do that to ya.

(one of the coolers was already full anyways) ;)

Gil spoke of "tag soup" this afternoon. My wife had never heard of that (see how spoiled she is) and asked quite innocently what it was. When she heard she commented that there haven't been many years like that for us. I am taking it all in stride.
