Well, I've mostly given up trying ammo for the Rem 597, 22LR. Here's the best group I can get for now, from Remington Yellow Jacket. It's about a half inch, shot at 25 yards.

I can also get about a half inch group from CCI SV, but I think the Yellow Jacket is meaner, so it's the winner.
I also tried: crap Win / Rem various, thunderbolt, etc. = Terrible
Wolf = .75 inches
Rem Eley Target = .75 inches
Stinger, Rem Target, something else, bigger than that.
I am out of choices locally, and I ordered the Wolf from Midway (I "needed" to place an order anyway). Following the shooting Sunday I bought a 500-round brick of Yellow Jacket, and I do believe that's all she'll be fed for some time, which may tighten things up a bit more.
I could replace the stock, bed the action, get a new barrel, etc etc. I think if I'm going to do all that I should get a bolt action rimfire instead.
The other good thing about the Yellow Jacket is it would have been one of my choices for rabbits anyway. I love me some Rabbit with Mustard Sauce.
