Your favorite Cartridge?

Right now it's the .257 AI. I have some really effective loads for varmints, all the way up to elk size critters. (Shot placement is a bit critical there.) But, it definitely puts 'em where you point 'em.

Pop, that is just too hard to answer....I just have to say that my favorite is all that I have and those that I will have. All my calibers and guns are job specific...each one is a favorite......

Mice= Its gotta be 223. All those ARs in the safe eat alot. :twisted:
Moose= Thats real hard 300RUM.

6.5-257Roberts

Evidently, a returning US Vet could not get ammo for his war trophy, so he had the 6.5x50mm Arisaka, reamed to 57mm, thus creating a 6.5-257Roberts! I like it simply because there is not much data available, from which to reload, so I fly by the seat of my pants, with every change in components. Right now, the 162gr SP seems to do the best job in the old 6.5 Japanese bore. For brass, I used either 257Roberts or 7x57Mauser. I run that brass through a 257Roberts resize die, having a 6.5 button. It works.
Anyone have ideas to loads for this chambering?
