Zeiss Discontinued

I can't believe they discontinued the Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50 scope. I just bought one months ago and thought of another for my potential upcoming 6BR only to find tonight they've been discontinued...bummer. That's a fine scope and tracks superbly. It doesn't make sense. Well, time to do a little googling.

Look at the Zeiss HD5; it is superior to the Conquest.

I have one Conquest and two HD5 scopes.
Hands down the HD5 line is vastly superior.

This is a Lotta scope for the price but most Championship BR shooters are using fixed high powered Sightron III's and March Optics as well in a fixed magnification?

People are saying it has tracking issues but even my S&B is not spot on but it is better tracking than the Leupold ERT a but as I mentioned this is a fine scope for the price!

I have an HD5 and a Conquest MC...the HD5 is clearly the better optic, no pun intended.

I have (2) HD5's the 3-15x42 configuration but you can get the 5-25x50 which should be an absolutely better scope than the 6.5-20x50 Conquest. The HD5 scope has the Tessar T* glass in it which is a good step up from the Conquest MC glass.

March optics? Ii could get a decent used car for what those cost. I didn't know the HD5's were that much better. They must be something to be much better than the Conquest glass.

The Tessar glass is what they use in their $2000. scopes.

I looked but saw no "Add to Cart" on the scope, only the hood. That was for the Zplex reticle. The other had one.

they must be out of stock . just to the lower right of the price it says to call or e-mail to back order one . if that's the scope you want it would be probably be worth an e-mail to check if they can get it , and the approximate arrival date .

This was bought about the same time the HD's came out and no remorse here :mrgreen: also at a great price and it sets atop my Weatherby 22-250 Super Varmint Master and it has the Varmint Reticle :mrgreen: also have a test tube of black sand from Iwo trip my Father went on a few years back! :grin: Iwo Jima Reunion Trip!
