Today I did some scope tracking with my Zeiss HD-5. I forgot my target but luckily someone left a half sheet of OSB in the desert for me to shoot at. I did have problems keeping it upright when the wind started blowing though. Also I didn't have a line to line the crosshairs up with to shoot the upper groups so I tried to use the upper bullet holes the best I could. What I did was shoot one shot at the low target and then do a full rotation on the dial and shot the next. Then I went back down and shot the next and back up, etc. for 15 shots at each elevation. If you throw out the 3 shots I pulled to the right on the lower target the other 12 would be under an 1" and if you throw out the two shots I pulled off each side of the upper group it would be under 1" for 13 shots. It also didn't help having a terrible mirage today. Usually I shoot earlier in the day but I hung out with the family instead. This was with my 6.5x47 Lapua and 123 Amax's over 41grs of IMR4350. I'd say it tracks pretty well.

I've been really happy with my two, I think it's two but maybe three, HD5 line of scopes.

I may have to invest in an HD-5 just to say I have one in my line-up. Looks pretty good from here. Thanks for posting.

I have two HD5 3-15x42 Conquests in my lineup. Super clear high contrast w/ Loetec coating and *Tessar lens coatings. I really like mine.
