That was a good read. Thanks for posting this.
I had the opportunity to shoot a Winchester 1895 in 405 Winchester a few years back. It was a real eye opener for me just how much power (and recoil) the 405 has. It's a very cool rifle and round.

I saw his rifles at the NRA museum a few years back. One of my favorite gun moments as a self afflicted loony.

Had read in the past and still a good read. Would have liked to been able to set and talk with TR. Very interesting person and one of the best presidents. Dan.

Agreed. The last decent governor in NYS as well!

His books of hunting the west are great reading.
