2025 I finally drew whitehorse antelope tag

well after 21 years I finally drew an Oregon Antelope tag for the Whitehorse unit. going to use the 264 wm rem 700 cdl se w/ 26' barrel, I have carried it a couple of time for blacktail but it hasn't killed anything yet.

White horse is still some of the roughest country around, I apply every year for Antelope and deer in that unit. There are still monsters there. Good luck.

What ammo/load will you be using in your 264 on this hunt?

65.8 grns of accumag powder, n the bullet is a bulk 140 grain I got from midway after the alemeda fire when I had to replace all my reloading stuff n ammo. I think they are speer deep curls or speer magtips/grand slams. Just know they shoot better than any bullet I have tried up to this point. I did load up 20 129 AccuBond long range bullets today.

If a guy is going to hold out for a tag and you're into holy crap what have I gotten myself into wild country, this unit is the place. The county this unit is in holds the distinction of the fewest miles of road per square mile of land in the lower 48. It is a big county and Whitehorse is the hardest ground.

That's great! Good luck on the speed goat! Awesome country and some really nice animals down there if you put the time in. We hunt Owyhee which is just north of that. It's one of my favorite places to be and hunt. Truly out in the middle of nowhere.
