Well we’ve been here 10 days or so. First two were kinda cold in the morning but otherwise it’s been pretty damn nice. Doing Another little remodel on our little house, should have that done by the end of the week. I’ve only been up to Tucson trap and skeet once but I was shooting pretty good.
Took a sunset ride with some friends last night. Good to sit on a horse again.
Not sure when we are headed back to Oregon. Thinking about the first of March. Chemo is kicking the son in laws butt and the daughter is getting pretty wore out juggling all she has to do.
Hope you all are well and not too cold.

It was 65 in utah yesterday so Arizona must be close to perfect. Would sure love to be in southern Arizona chasing quail . . .
Best wishes to you and your family-

Went quail hunting the other day, found a new spot. Unloaded the old dogs, put boots on the old hunter, pulled the old Arietta out of the case, walked about 100 yards and realized I hadn’t bought my Arizona license. Put the gun away and did a hike with the dogs. Only saw a few birds. Lows in the 50s highs about 75. Snow mixed with rain at home but still running 10 degrees above average there. Gotta love Arizona.

Most states going to an on line system now-even allowing digital federal duck stamp. Don’t know if Arizona got that far yet but it was super convenient in other states I hunted-our Brittany went completely deaf this year and was retired from the field in November.

Good old dogs... Glad you got out for a nice hike with them.

Guy
Guy we get out almost every day. We live right on Pantano wash, public property, dry most of the year river bed. We do a 4 mile hike every morning. Typically see quail and road runners, coyotes and the occasional Javalina. Only just a couple of deer and several homeless camps. I stay away from them and so far they haven’t bothered me much. The dogs are getting a little old for a hard hike up in the mountains, they can only pull off a couple miles of that country and it gets too warm for them pretty quick.

Both my dogs are getting hard of hearing as well. One is 13 1/2 the other will be 14 next month.
I have a cat that refuses to believe she is old despite being 16 or so at this point. She still acts like she can do whatever she wants despite being slow to move around and completely deaf. She literally attacked another cat that started coming by my house just the other week like some sort of maniac :ROFLMAO:. She was always our most stuborn cat and it seems that she has decided she isn't ready to check out yet.

That's fantastic Don. I miss the walks with Sue, she broke her Acetabulum hip in December. Slowly getting better, hopefully start weight bearing next week.
Enjoy your time in AZ.

We worry about falling more than we used too, 70 year old bones start getting fragile. I hope Sue knits up well.

Thank you Don.
Apparently the last 3 basement steps can be tricky, especially when multitasking your phone.
It was a clean non displaced fracture so she didn't require surgery. Ten weeks since she fell. Next weeks visit with her Orthopedic Trauma surgeon will hopefully allow her to start putting 25% weight on her leg. I did get her into PT 3 weeks ago for circulation and muscle toning which will help her with weight bearing. At least the pain is pretty much gone now but it's a slow healing process.
The good news is that she is motivated, she is looking forward to hunting hogs in TX this April.

Motivation is key, PT can be painful those pigs are going to be in deep do do.

Good to see you and Cathrine are enjoying your time away. Prayer for your son in law and family.
