Finally my MK V Live Wild came in after a long wait. Very pleased with the rifle. Pure Weatherby quality and no surprises.
I mounted a Zeiss 4-16x44 mm on it and played a little. Now, I do have brass on order but WBY is saving it all (for now) until they catch up with factory ammunition and the demand that this chambering has generated. That said I did get a box of factory ammunition. Tipped Hammer flavor in 107 gr format. This is what they produced. This is a slow fire 5 shot group. The rifle does sport a slim barrel profile.
Now, I left a few factory loaded rounds (8) for antelope (just in case I do not get the back ordered brass by September) so I only had a few brass that were fired from this first outing. I worked up a load of H1000 and the 134 ELDM. Here are the results of this venture. I made up a few more rounds to verify the results next weekend.
I do like the rifle. Very lightweight and so far pretty accurate.
